A LONG TIME AGO IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY (aka the mind of George Lucas)…Hello fans, this month we will take a break from Doctor Who as we celebrate my other favourite franchise, Star Wars…continuing with the second movie of the prequel trilogy, Episode II Attack of the Clones

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

The shroud of the dark side has fallen. Begun, the Clone War has―Master Yoda

Released on the 16th May 2002, Attack of the Clones see’s the beginning of the Clone Wars, and takes place ten years after the events of the Naboo invasion and the galaxy is very close to civil war. Anakin is now 20 years of age and a Padawan to Jedi Master Obi Wan Kennobi. Padme is no longer the Queen of Naboo but a respected member of the Senate.

After an attempt on Padme’s life, Anakin and Obi Wan are assigned to protect her and in the process, Anakin and Padme discover their forbidden love for each other and Anakin feels the pull of the Dark Side after his mother us killed by Sand People.

Between Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, we have the Clone Wars TV series which follows the adventures of both the light and dark sides of the Force. The first version of the Clone Wars TV series was (in my opinion) not so great but was soon fixed up and made into something awesome as you can see from the image below and the second header image.
